It's Been a While, Huh?
I wish I had a good excuse, but I don't. Nothing much has really been going on. I've been busy taking care of things that I have procrastinated doing since I moved to VA. You know, things like address changes, car registering and such. I've been in major procratination mode lately--why I don't know. But I seem to be coming out of it and getting a little bit more done every day.
One of the things I have been doing is preparing for my trip to CO in March. I leave March 11th and Finn's birthday party will be on March 12th. I've been shopping for that and for airline tickets. I am all prepared for the trip now and cannot wait to leave.
Another thing I've been working on is the house. I haven't done much with it since moving here in December; at least not much beyond buying new furniture and plopping it down in the rooms. I have one room done--the guest bedroom and even that isn't completely done. I'm sort of inept when it comes to decorating so I enlisted the help of my friend Becky who is an interior designer. She has been giving me a lot of great ideas and really forcing me to move out of my comfort zone in terms of my normal decorating scheme. If you are interested in what I am doing with the house, you can take a look at this blog-- http://www.helpmedecorate.blogspot.com/
I set this blog up for Becky and I to post photos at because our e-mails are not compatible and she never gets my photos. So I figured that on the blog we can go back and forth with ideas and she can post photos and links of items she thinks I should purchase. It will be interesting to see the progression of the rooms through the photos on the blog. Right now I am working on the dining room and living room--getting it ready for paint this weekend!
So, I'll be busy painting for the next week or so but I'll try to remember to update this blog!
